What readers learn

Not another news stream. Each edition compresses the day into the few relationships that can change decisions over the next two to four weeks.

01

What changed

The releases, policy shifts and supply-chain moves that materially change the near-term picture.

02

Why it matters

How rates, energy, labor and trade transmit into demand, margins, financing and investment.

03

Where capacity binds

The physical constraints behind AI, electronics, autos, power and industrial infrastructure.

04

What confirms the view

Base, Bull and Bear cases with catalysts and thresholds that make the outlook testable.

A broad scan with deliberately sharp sensors.

This project maintains a generally unbiased view of the economic, industrial, technological, labor, commercial and policy developments that may influence markets over the next several weeks.

It is non-political in purpose and portfolio-agnostic. Politics and policy enter only when they have plausible consequences for growth, inflation, trade, energy, industry or financial conditions.

Broad first
The scan stays global.

Industry specialization expands the sensor network; it does not replace the wider economic mission or prevent discovery outside the core lens.

Electronics
Chips, boards, copper, assembly and test expose constraints early.

Memory, substrates, component lead times, power equipment and capacity utilization often show where demand or scarcity is moving before broad data does.

Regions
Michigan, Taiwan, Germany and other industrial hubs are early-warning instruments.

They are weighted because their auto, semiconductor, trade, energy and manufacturing systems can reveal a larger shift—not because the analysis stops at their borders.

Testable
Every edition ends with Base, Bull and Bear cases.

The 2–4 week view is expressed as probabilities, catalysts and invalidation signals rather than a fixed political or market narrative.

Three reporting rhythms

The same analytical framework, paced for a morning scan, a weekly reset, or a longer monthly read.

How the daily and weekend editions differ

DAILY · THE SIGNAL

What changed, and what does it mean now?

Timely developments, continuity and evidence, immediate implications and the current 2–4-week outlook.

SATURDAY

What did the whole week establish — and how well did we anticipate it?

Cross-week summation, deeper causal analysis, forecast-performance review, historical record and a practical evidence plan for the coming week.

SUNDAY

How did we get here, and what does history suggest about where we may be heading?

Standalone current-condition catch-up, historical perspective or special interest piece and a fresh 2–4-week outlook. Plus the complete, concise six-month Market Read reassessment.

Each edition stands on its own. Daily covers developments, Saturday reviews the week's evidence and forecast performance, and Sunday gives historical perspective and the longer-term outlook.
